“I enjoy working thoroughly, calmly and collaboratively with my patients.”

I am a doctor of general internal medicine and work as a general practitioner at the Worb GP practice. In my daily work, calm, structured and honest medicine is important to me. I take the time to listen, carefully assess medical issues and discuss decisions transparently – because for me, good medicine is based on mutual understanding, not time pressure.

I completed my medical studies at the University of Bern, where I also obtained my doctorate in medicine. In recent years, I have worked in inpatient general internal medicine and, for several years, in endocrinology, diabetology and metabolic diseases, including at the Insel Group and in specialised practice centres. This clinical experience helps me today to assess even complex situations in general practice in a differentiated and down-to-earth manner.

A particular focus of my work is caring for patients with chronic conditions, especially diabetes and other hormonal or metabolic issues. It is important to me to explain medical recommendations in an understandable way and to work together to find a realistic approach that is suitable for everyday life.

I am interested in new care models and the sensible use of modern technologies when they improve the quality of care and reduce the workload in everyday practice. Technology should support – not replace. Personal contact, dialogue and continuous support are clearly my top priorities.

I see general practice as a long-term relationship: one based on responsibility, continuity and an open mind about what makes medical sense – and what doesn’t.
